PSA Campaign - Backyard Biodiversity
Mockup by tuiafalken
Project Brief
Create a series of three, professional quality, print ad posters that could be used in a Public Service Announcement (PSA) print campaign. These posters will promote an important issue or topic that affects individuals and communities. Choose one issue you think is the most interesting and important that will enable you to create your strongest visual experiments. This is a campaign or series of three posters which should be distinct from each other, yet similar enough to be an obvious set when side by side.
Background
For my issue I chose building up backyard biodiversity in an effort to sustain and preserve wildlife. I chose to highlight the National Wildlife Federation's Garden for Wildlife project which promotes sustainably providing wildlife with food, water, cover, and places to raise young.

Per another requirement of the brief, I also included the Ad Council which is an American nonprofit organization that produces, distributes, and promotes public service announcements on behalf of various sponsors, including nonprofit organizations, non-governmental organizations, and agencies of the US government.
Process
Research PSAs in general, determine a cause that needs more public awareness, ideation through visual experiments and thumbnails sketching, seek and apply peer feedback, digitally compose several of the strongest ideas, seek and apply peer feedback, decide on and fine-tune a final design, seek and apply peer feedback, final composition.
Alternate design that didn't make the final cut:
